yoz. wassup? this is your dear bowling correspondent reporting live on blogspot. The bowling sabbat is super boring just like eating plain roti prata w/o curry, especially on the 1st day. Can you actually imagine us doing drills for almost the entire 1st lesson of bowling. However, I think that the fun-loving people there made it fun!! We got deren posing until so seh. rofl. Beside that, we were great gutter cleaners and maybe Cathay Bowling could hire our expertise. I'm sure we could impress them with our gutter STRIKE.

After the 1st day, we came back with pain on our poor finger joints. Some poor souls even have blue-black patch (like me). Drills are torturous. Anyway the 2nd day was much better. The Cathay spokesmen certainly raised some eyebrows by learning and executing our secret gutter STRIKE. But at other times, he just only managed to do some "chicken feet" hooking. So easy that I don't even know how to do. haha. I think I could have lost my thumb if I decided to hook the ball harder. Fate is that the ball didn't really like me and I couldn't hook her.

And we got some tips on how to spare some pins and got to pratice them. Turns out ok. I don't really think that this got much use. After all, my ball can hit 7 already can thank Allah liao. Training for spare is like learning to fly before one can walk. I should train on hitting the pins!

After intense training, it must be time to start the challenge. So, we had 4 full games ( 1 carried out on the 1st day.) Here are some records and interesting facts:

1. Wenjie won the 1st game with score > 100. He was the only one who managed score> 100.
2. Puay puay managed a turkey in game 2!! holy cow.
3. Puay puay bulldozed a score of 136 in game 2.
4. Peishan displayed tremendous skill of 126 in game 2. no gender discrimination but such a score is already damn zhai and deserve special mention
5. All time low score of 40 in game 2 proudly bowled by astuka. rofl. *(&^^$*@()$@ Allah, if you're reading this, pls ask your brother don't disturb me lor.
6. Deren always start his 1st game with a STRIKE. No matter how hard we try to find excuses to erase his score.
7. Yong Xian and Wei Chung managed to execute 2 perfect gutter strike consecutively.
8. Astuka tried the heaviest ball. I used 15 pounds ball to score 109 pts at 9th game. Pity that power cut off or else this would be a 15 pound legacy. *thumb pain*
9. Weichung can bowl with left or right hand. It seems that his left hand bowls better. rofl.
10. Samuel impressed us with his pi-pa + bowling skills. This sparked off a sudden interest in his cca. rofl.
11. Yong Xian have the best animated and enthusiastic reaction to each bowl. *claps claps*

sorry if i forgot other memorable events, but above is just in a nutshell. anyway I'm looking fwd to more reports of various sabbats.

Wanna bowl after school? =D

Walls of text.

Monday, May 08, 2006

Huge walls of texts, one after the other.

And yet another?

I hope not. But I'm not going to promise you anything.

A really cool looking blog template with funky music in the background. Yet the words that fill that pink rectangle in the middle, are nothing like that. Strangely ironic, yet highly amusing. Verbose entries that feebly try to address the problems in this class; words that bring with them great weight, severity, and emotions. But to your surprise, I applaud not the writers, but instead the readers, for they subject themselves to such a torture. Even more so, if the reader is not from this class.

I clicked "Create" with great plans of writing an essay, but then I asked myself this: Why bother?

I now ask them with the same question: Why do they bother?

I highly doubt their intentions - all those who have actively participated in this "pseudo-discussion of class spirit". They are in no way trying to improve the current situation, but instead, writing long, but empty posts. I shall point out something that all of them will deny:

They care not about the class, but only about themselves. Their long and verbose posts are self-pretentious, with the sole objective of asserting power over their fellow classmates, foolishly thinking that they dictate the future of this class, but the sad fact is that they do not.

Please stop doing that altogether, because its my job. You're not even good at it, damnit. You would have realised by now, that I've been using using alot of 3rd person plural pronouns. Even if you didn't, I'm kind enough to point it out now, so you don't retain your status quo of being as clueless as a wet towel. It was actually intended to distant myself from you, you pathetic mortals. Why, because nobody would want to be associated with a bunch of people that do NOTHING but try to sound intelligent and cause trouble on their class blog. And no, I'm not talking about myself. I don't have an identity crisis, in case you were wondering.

Please stop trying to emulate my greatness by writing long entries, albeit you won't even come close. Especially those imbeciles that start their posts with idiotic self-pretentious statements like "I advocate war" or cliche titles that talk about a better future. Even worse are those that type bullshit entries that get deleted by moderators, and then apologise, thinking that god sent them to piss the whole world off.

Case in point: If you want to do any of the above, do it in your own toilet bowl a.k.a. your blog. If you can't take a shit without dirtying the whole god-damned toilet, then do it in your own. The last thing we need is someone crapping all over the public toilet, or in this case, the class toilet, making it a more horrible place than the horrid place that it already is.

"Why don't you practice what you preach?" You ask?

Well, because I'm doing everyone that stumbles upon this blog a freaking huge favour - so they don't have to read your essays of "discontent" or "unhappiness". If people wanted to improve their GP, they'd go to my blog. Not this place.

No lah no lah, just joking. So everyone here, please wake the WARNING VULGARITY COMING RIGHT UP, PLEASE FASTEN YOUR SEATBLETS fuck up. We need more light hearted posts like mine.

Alright? So just worship me already. DOO IT.

(Hint: I like chocolate chip cookies.)

EDIT: I just read WenSi's entry. My favourite part was the "we have 18 of the best boys in the entire school". Because we all know I'm ranked NUMERO UNO. *rawr*

[[ some thoughts.

yes! we need more welfare reps. my friend's class has 4 welfare reps -.-
firstly i have to apologise to cheejia and yongxian for not getting them a cake. the day before their birthday i had to go for TT competition.. and on their birthday i had TT comp too. so i was really tired + tied down. im really really guilty about this. sigh. i will work harder.
i have a problem. problem with managing my time well. im trying to change lah. sooo i would really appreciate it if i had some helping hands (:

and.. about the couples thing.. well actually i think targetting them isn't very fair. dj and yx do mix with the class! whenever we all don't have cca we'll go out to watch movie /play lan/eat/shop (:

and yeah there's one incident i'd like to mention..
there was once i was kinda bored after school.. had nothing to do.. felt kinda depressed cuz of various reasons.. and no one was free to go out with me.. dunjie asked me to go out with him and yx.. of course i said i would be a light bulb lah. but he reassured me that it was okay and they could keep me company.. i was so touched.
they're not.. exclusive lah. they do mix with the class. and they mix with the class A LOT, in fact. oh yes. remember that day we went to buy laoda's present? wenjie went with us although peishan went home! he didn't just pungseh us and go home with peishan lo.

and.. targetting dunjie is not very fair too.. remember the time all the physics students gathered in the conference room to keep me in 6D? the teacher gave dj 2 minutes to decide whether i should go or stay? that was super hard on him. imagine, if u were him, wad would u do? imagine the immense pressure on him! before anyone criticises him for not doing his job well, please put yourself in his shoes.. try walking a mile in them.. it's not easy.

im speaking in a very objective way. im just stating the facts, so don't say im trying to side anyone. yes im trying to defend the couples. WHY? because i don't think they deserve to be blamed.

the truth is, i always thought our class was a good class. we have 18 of the best hwachong boys! an we've got 8 nice girls (: hahaha. yes it's true there will always be cliques. a clique-less class would be freaky.
i guess the important qualities we lack are COMPROMISE and TOLERANCE.
we keep finding fault with others and we turn a blind eye to our own. it's almost always the case.

okay. it's 1 am now. i hope everything turns out well. and i like kwang guan's post. yay. i urgekg to be a welfare rep too. (:( i know u wanna take on this post!) hahaha. OBS sounds fun actually. if we can't have a chalet during june then maybe we can go east coast or go sentosa! u all can get as black as nigger potter lol. im gonna bring lotsa sunblock.

yeah i hope we stick together as a class. yesterday i talked to weichung. he says he'd rather play foosball than mix with a class like this. *shakes head* 25 nice people can't be compared to about 16 (eh not sure) plastic red and blue figurines whacking a ball? we have to do something about our class.

LOVE MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND (:
let's love 6D.

daoing the class: firstly i dun think we both did dao the class.. pangseh the class?? in what cases.. you guys were ostroing us.. saboing us here and there.. and now suddenly we pangseh the class.. when there is a class outing.. which of me and yx dint go?? how bout those who dint go.. arent they the one who is daoing the class??.. those bunch of people who always go out together are wenjiepeishanpuayhianwensiderenmeyongxiankwangguanjiahao sometimes yushancheejiapengsing.. ya.. do i see anyone's name who are shooting me??.. err i dun think they did participate at all.. if i make a mistake.. please tell me..

couple cliques: err we are always together.. so?? are we not also always together with the class.. in what occasion you dun see us when you are with the class.. and i mean not among your geogerz cliques or mafia cliques.. ya.. everytime we go out.. we asked you guys.. your responses are always go home mug.. if not go home RTW.. yup.. daoing the class.. look who is speaking.. class splitting cos of couple cliques.. halo.. look at the situation now.. who is going out more with the class.. i have no objections with anyone not going with the class.. but how is it that someone has an objection with me going out with the class with another classmate..

to the tablesoccer gang.. everytime me and yx had to wait for you to go eat.. you guys always say one last match one last match.. ya.. den after that.. you guys tell us to go eat first.. wth?? waited for you and in the end telling us to go.. den after we come back.. you all want us to pei you go eat.. i am not complaining im just trying to make my point..

who is the one whining.. "and the reason why couples are the targetted grp is becoz they mix less with the rest of the class compared to other grps. and...they like to whine a lot.".. yup.. mix with the class less.. i would like to ask you.. who mix with the class more.. me or you.. ask the whole class.. i think they have the answer.. yeah sit and talk.. ill say.. you plan it.. if you can get the class to stay back after school that is.. " wj/ ps not tat bad, coz they still mix with the class............. " and ya.. i shall not comment on that..

about the lovey-dovey part.. maybe its true.. im sorry.. i would try to change.. but.. we still mix with the class.. is there a matter with that?? all your points are not valid..

i have no intention to flame or critisize anyone in this post.. if anyone is hurt im sorry.. all i wanted to do was to make my stand and bring my point across..

I advocate war

there is a need for some minor adjustments. firstly, i will like to point out a very significant error in kg's post. erm. wensheu's not bronze. he's black. erm ya. as i have alr posted in the tagboard, i will do tat again, coz obviously all of your replies and posts doesnt reflect much thinking. if yuan is tryign to advocate peace here, i'm doing the exact opposite.
firstly, couples need to keep their check on their behaviour in school. thanks, but we dun need u to show how lovey-dovey both of you are. they need to mix more with other classes.
as i have said, cliques are normal, trying to disband cliques is obviously impossible and is something like the president of russia trying to make russia regain soviet glory. and the reason why couples are the targetted grp is becoz they mix less with the rest of the class compared to other grps. and...they like to whine a lot.
we seriously need bonding, and i mean serious bonding here.i suggest we sit down and talk.instead of doing stupid stuff and everyone hahaha.coz the problems wun be solved tat way.everyone will hahaha and forget about it.craps.i'm seriously not in the mood to blog. goodbye. u all need to get a life.

sue me if u wan. just my 2sens worth. anyway, couples need to know tat...ya. u know. wj/ ps not tat bad, coz they still mix with the class.............

staying together, moving ahead.

Isn't the title familiar? Does it ring a bell? If you can't rmb where you heard of that phrase, search no further than the newspaper. This PAP slogan is plastered everywhere. And this PAP slogan is the key to solve all the problematic issues we have at hand. Lim Yuan told us that the problems of disunity and lack of class spirit is pretty OK. And that we would have to LIVE by that and ADJUST ourselves to that. To hear that sentence from our dear vice-CT rep is utterly disappointing. ='( but lim yuan has been doing well. And this is no finger pointing cause my fingers are only pointing at my keyboard. Because that sentence epitomise a defeat and a white flag; surrendering ourselves to the problem.

Though we may not know how to solve this problem... One thing is for sure. We have to do something. We have to do the best we know how at this moment. If it doesn't turn out right, we can modify it as we go along. This isn't just my philosophy. Its Franklin D. Roosevelt. (this isn't any feeble attempt to appeal to higher authority)

If its methdology that Lim Yuan asked. Then its methodology that Lim Yuan gets. Firstly we need more Welfare Reps. You might ask if that is necessary? Well, I would say it is. (sounds so dumb but nvm.) Everyone agrees that the responsibility of a welfare rep is too great a burden and wensi is already coping well. But we need more macho shoulders to carry this great burden and .:. we need more welfare reps to mould this class into a cohesive unit. [disclaimer: 05s65 have a few welfare reps.] So, volunteers just step forward! Prerequisites: macho shoulders ?_?, genuine care & concern for the class, superb passion! (just like a councillor)

The second step is to try to move away from your cliques. Yes. That's essential. This don't really need much explaining. And I do talk to Panlin at least 3 days in 5 days. We got the couples, geogers, mafia, PRC, foosball etc. Now we need the 6d rollers.

Next would be to organise more class activities la. June coming liao la. Who wanna organise chalet? Maybe can chill at East Coast park or rent some cranky old bicycle to play. Can go tanning also and have glowing bronze tan of our beloved wensheu. Alot of things to do in June lor. JTS and STJ also good ways of fostering class spirit. Maybe in JTS can go play some OG games la. U know what i mean? I hope you do.

Next next is a rather infeasible idea. But it works very well! Go OBS. yay. it stands for outward bound S'pore. terrible place to punish naughty kids. But can foster SOLID class spirit. If we enroll in OBS, i bet we will not forget each other even when we are grey and old. Even in our coffin also can remember 6d la. Going OBS means we get to: play together, pump together, sai gan together, sleep together (oops. sounds wrong. er. sleep in a tent of 5 ppl of same gender.), eat together and shit together. Sounds cool right? Btw i dont get any bonus for advertising OBS. Maybe that's what we really need.

Also we need to establish better communication avenues. Like before Artemis race, maybe we can relay the information to everyone in the class. Dont neglect the PRCs. Haven't seen them in most of the class activites. Has it come to your mind that we are excluding them? Did any1 tell them about any events? So i suggest we can set up a Yahoo! Group or a forum; then can post information there lor. Also can post hw reminders and other stuff. Otherwise we can keep a website (like the one that Artemis have.)

Lastly, please do not exhibit racial discrimination. Don't exclude ppl becos of their skin colour/country of origin and blar blar blar. Ya.

Food for thought: This isn't the 1st flashpoint of instability in our class. Some have been deleted by mods last time. But censorship isn't always the right thing....

i could have been mapling. or even better, i could have been blogging at my own blog abt guitar concert, co bbq, artemis fac outing, string concert, co/guitar elections. but i feel this really rides priority over the rest. cos of my belief in friendship.

ok... let's all calm down and think abt it carefully la. im sure ppl have their reasons and opinions thats for sure. but why not let me just lay out both sides of the argument and we can see how this is happening.

some ppl feel that the class is being split into cliques and therefore daoing the class and everything, mainly cos of couples forming in the class(quoting). and the class is getting too caught up in their individual stuff and starting to ignore the class activities. all these celebrating bdae stuff are going away. the class spirit is starting to leave us.

other ppl feel that the class is ok the way it is, and even if it's not being so ideal, there shouldnt be any particular ppl to blame. i mean... when the couple clique goes out, they are still part of the class right? why is that a form of isolating themselves? so does it mean when ppl go play pool, LAN or WoW at home, they are isolating themselves too? the reason doesnt really stand.

ok im starting to be a bit judgemental here. it's hard not to. i will tend to agree with lim yuan that seriously. the class is not isolating themselves cos of couples or anything. its the fact that there are cliques in the first place. now we are looking at it that couples are the cause and reason. then if we looking in another angle, how abt the table soccer gang? or the mafia? or the geoggers. are they all not part of the grp of cliques as well?

so seriously, it's everyone that has to take a part in bringing our class spirit back. i dont think commitments is that major. look at me, i got 3 ccas and yes, i do face problems cos of that. but i dont think i dont go out with the rest of the class at all or anything. i still try to go if i can. how abt those ppl who chiong home to mug, or just simply dont care and stone at home with games? everyone is guilty of that every now and then, im sure de. even i am.

kwang guan is not wrong though. although lim yuan and him seems to be going against viewpoints. im sure both feel that more can be done abt the class spirit. but hey, dont blame it on the welfare rep for everything k? she's not superwoman or anything. let's all help her if we can and come out with class activities! initiate mahs. a movie, shopping, even a meal. anything will do. wads so tough abt it. yes definitely many things cannot involve the whole class, but if u have so many activities, im sure everyone will get to go for some at least. in any way, it will surely help.

ok.. now on this more touchy part abt laoda's bdae and everything. i wasnt actually there, just hear from ppl, so do correct me if my info is wrong. in any case, im sure yx didnt mean it seriously or wad. why not think in her shoes, she'll feel that there's a cake and many presents for laoda, but she didnt even get a bdae song or anything. furthermore, it was cheejia's bdae on the same day. how many times are there 2 ppl from the same class having the same bdae? but we didnt do anything abt it and celebrate or anything. it's kinda like a 2v1 feeling, and yet 1>2. mathematically, it's not logical right? how abt socially? so it's no wonder she might be a bit upset. thats wad i feel la. so dont blame or anything k?

let's pass this period quickly and get on with life. towards a 6D with more class spirit, more fun and more togetherness ok? and celebrate bdaes! they are nice. sorry, love to AA when ppl look at our class bench when we sing bdae song haha =).

friends, romans, countrymen

lend me your ears. some problems only exists when you think they do. especially in this case. honestly, the only problem i see is that you people see too many problems. stop nitpicking for goodness sakes. and the finger-pointing has got to stop. ok. so our class has cliques. oh big deal. yeah. and so the couple of couples (haha) exists in our class. and guess what? they actually LIKE hanging out with their better half. oh. great surprise. how evil of them to want to spend time with each other. but oh so terrifying. we live in a democratic society (almost) so we can't crucify them. let's flame them instead. for what crime? daoing the rest of the class? i don't think so. i mean, you got to admit that when people commit themselves to a relationship, they've got to sacrifice a little of their friendships. spend less time with their friends. look up the definition of sacrifice. its not something they actually WANT. as friends, we should just understand that. from their perspective, what is it like? so don't give them a double penalty by blaming them for pangsehing the class.

im not denying that our class can't be better. yes. we can be more bonded. yes, more people can make a better effort in contributing to the class. yes, we can be more united. but guess what? to me, our class looks pretty okay. our problems are not created by a few people. its a accumulation of everyone's inactiveness/fingerpointing/using so much tag space/etc.

and to be honest, problems like these hardly ever gets solved. so either get used to it, or do a PI on how to rescue the class. methodology anyone?

this is a flaming post. actually it isn't. anyway I am just trying to assert a point in this blog entry. Anyone of you knows that Laoda's birthday is tml? Few turned up to buy his present It won't be too far-fetch to conclude that more than 3/4 of the class are unaware about our comrade. Unless you people choose to forget about his birthday and hope that someone would rmb abt it and do smth. HEY! Stop this selfish behaviour. Stop thinking about yourself, your studies, your girlfriend, your watever shit. No man is a island. No man can stand alone. Snowflakes, leaves, planets, flowers, animals; the singular doesn't exist. So stop existing in our pathetic own world and open your eyes wide, cause there are friends around us.

Driving the engine of 6d are familiar comrades. They work tirelessly behind the scenes to create false illusions of unity, care and tremendous class spirit. Remove these few people and we are left with a hollow shell. People are too pre-occupied in their tasks. People have too many constrains. People have too little time. In short, people have too many excuses. Yes, excuses. Nothing is impossible because impossible is nothing. If you have the heart, the will and the sincerity to do it, you will be able to do it. So show your care and concern for your friends in 6d, and participate more actively in class activities. Don't jezz stone there and do nothing. Don't jezz mug in hostel. Dont jezz wait for smth to happen. Take the initiative.

6d is a group of wonderful individuals with a balanced population. We got the muggers, the shop-till-you-drop fanatics, the sporty, the China-ish, the story tellers, the lame joke crackers etc. But are we a wonderful class? with wonderful class spirit? with wonderful care & concern of friends? Maybe we should all move towards that; let's care and share. I know I shouldn't be the one saying all these stuff. But the bureaucracy (our class comm) are obviously oblivious to such trivial matters. Let's settle such trivial matters before it escalates into a serious matter.

Thank you.
